Game Design Work

Forecast

A time-traveling puzzle adventure game. Players uncover the mysteries surrounding a town by exploring it across eons. The game has a unique core gameplay mechanic: a fly fishing rod. The rod and its gear can be used to navigate puzzles and terrain, cast magic and time portals, fight enemies, and fish.

Forecast is the brainchild of pandemic isolation, concepted with programmer Spike Frye. I’m gradually producing all the art, script, animations, and level design for this charming pixel art adventure. A labor of love!

*In production using the Godot engine—Chapter 1 coming 2026–27

PALS

“You wake aboard Artemis VII mid-voyage. All ship systems have malfunctioned. Who woke you? Where are you? What happened to the skeleton crew? And what are those ominous sounds echoing down the corridor?”

PALS is a sci-fi survival text adventure game. Players must explore a spaceship gone haywire to discover and fix what is happening, while avoiding a series of ratcheting dangers.

Animations & Renderings

Lisa Leaves is a comedic short animated in After Effects, using archival art history photography. And yes, I did all the voice work.

This promo spot was done for the School of Art at Northern Michigan University. I filmed live footage in the studios, animated everything together in After Effects, and composed the music in GarageBand.

Color Dance is a playful glimpse of color theory using rotoscope techniques.

These renderings were done in Cinema4D. Helix’s many repetitions and reflections tested this 3D engine, while Joplin Station is a to-scale model of a historic train station in Joplin, Missouri.
